2T4
The 2T4 is a 2 wire to 4 wire plus E&M converter. It provides bi-directional signalling conversion between 2 wire analogue and 4 wire E&M carrier or PABX circuits.
Applications
By attaching the appropriate daughterboard, the 2T4 can interface:
- Exchange and 4w E&M Carrier Channel
- 4w E&M Carrier and Subscriber
- 4w E&M Carrier and PABX Tie Line
- 4w E&M Carrier and
- 4w E&M Carrier Channel (single circuit only)
Features
Standard
- Each card provides two independent 2w to 4w circuits
- The 2T4 uses a standard 3RU x 19" euro card format
- DIN 41612 x 64w connector on rear of the card
- 4 multiturn potentiometers accessed through the front panel allow for transmit and receive level adjustment
- Front panel LEDs provide indication of E&M activity and status of 2T4
- E&M Signalling, Inband Signalling and Ring Cadence programmable
- The 2w interfaces include onboard complex and 600 ohm termination, or external networks may be added
Optional
- The VFM is a stand-alone assembly with an integral power supply and ringer, into which a single 2T4 card can be installed
- 19" Subrack (Type 2T4-3RU) - occupies 3RU of 19" rack space
- Houses up to 9 x 2T4 cards, a power supply and a ringer. Screw terminals provide for the connection of DC power on the backplane of the subrack
- 19" Subrack (Type 2T4-6RU) - occupies 6RU of 19" rack space
- 19" mounting brackets can be installed on the rear of the subrack to allow direct fixing to a wall
